Why Him? Why not?
Why Him? stars Bryan Cranston as Ned Fleming, a loving father of two who runs a printing business running out of clients.
Ned’s daughter Stephanie (Zoey Deutch) asks her family to fly out to California to meet her new billionaire boyfriend Laird Mayhew (James Franco).
Laird then asks Ned for his blessing in proposing to Stephanie but after Ned says no, Laird tries to win him over.
AWKWARD MOOSE TESTICLES.
If those words made you think of something positive, then Why Him? is the film for you because the style of humour more or less remains in that ballpark and I will admit, this humour did bring me a few laughs.
But if those words made you bunch your eyebrows together in disgust then Why Him? is not for you and contemplators beware, you will not find a deeper meaning within this film.
Why Him? is the kind of film that I would watch again if it were on TV and I had nothing else to do. It’s an easy movie.
Why Him? is not a film you absolutely need to see. It’s a film you should see if you’re in the mood for something light, inappropriate and popcorn-friendly with zero consequence. It’s easy.
What did you think of Why Him??
